Kaitlyn's dark eyes stared out into the winter night. The soft blanket of white snow had covered the world, hiding the dead, dull features. The girl with the black hair shifted slightly, her gaze turning to the room itself. The lights were off; it was late. The glowing alarm clock stated that it was 2:47 a.m. But sleep wouldn't come for Kaitlyn. As any other night, there was too much swirling around in her head. Too many things that needed attending to. Such as the day at school, where all of her "friends" did the same they always did.
